1 1/3 bags of Hershey's Special Dark chocolate chips (12 oz. bags)
1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz. can)
2-3 T. butter
2 t. vanilla extract (that's about what it looked like as I dumped away...)
1/2 c. coarsely chopped walnuts (or more if you like... or none if you don't like...)
Line a 9x9 inch baking dish with foil. Set aside. In medium saucepan, over medium-low heat, pour milk and chocolate chips. Stir until chocolates are almost completely melted, then add the butter. Continue to stir until butter and chocolates are completely melted and mixture turns into a glossy, beautiful chocolate ball. : ) Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Add walnuts and stir just until distributed throughout. Pour and smooth mixture into prepared dish and refrigerate until set.* When set, remove foil from pan, flip upside down on a cutting board and peel off foil. Cut into squares and store in sealed container.
*(Unfortunately for all you time-consious people, I left mine in the fridge overnight, so I have no idea how long it actually takes to set up. Sorry!)
Yes, that's my son in the background desperately trying to convince me he needs a piece. Or two, or three...
